With user groups you can show a service only to certain customers, give them a discount code, or email them. Until now you had to add and remove the members by hand. Now a group can be dynamic: it is built from the same filters you already use on the Mailing list page, and it updates itself.

For example:

  • “-15 % on hall rental for course participants”: a group “Participants to ongoing or upcoming courses” and a booking discount code for that group. When a customer’s last course ends, the discount stops working for them automatically.
  • Members-only training slot: a group “Users with active subscriptions”, and a service shown only to them.
  • Marketing the follow-up course: a group “Participants to courses completed in the past 3 months who are not yet in the follow-up course”.

What’s new:

  • A group can combine several filters, and you can leave out some users with another filter (e.g. all course participants except the puppy class).
  • You can still add users by hand and leave out single users.
  • The Mailing list page has a new Save as group button: choose a filter as before and turn it into a group with one click.
  • The group page shows who is in the group because of a filter and who was added by hand.

Your existing groups work as before, and you don’t need to do anything. Read the full instructions for user groups

We also made security and reliability fixes around groups: only school admins can now edit groups, and the booking filters on the Mailing list page only include customers’ own, valid bookings.

As always, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
